Construction in the Dallas Ft. Worth market has become saturated in discussions of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) requirements, Green Buildings and Sustainable Sites. Venture Mechanical has positioned itself in the forefront of the LEED program and its varying criteria to assist in meeting the ever growing concerns of energy consumption and sustainability of today’s developers and building owners. Venture Mechanical has significant experience in both Green Building Design and Construction and Green Interior Design and Construction.
LEED HVAC Contributions
Venture’s contribution to a building obtaining LEED certification has several components.
- During the budgeting phase, Venture can assist in determining the overall economic feasibility of achieving a specific level of certification by evaluating achievability and associated costs of many credits within the Energy and atmosphere and Indoor Environmental Quality sections of the LEED rating system.
- Ensure and demonstrate required minimum energy performance and indoor air quality requirements.
- Through LEED Online, on behalf of the construction and design team, document anticipated compliance with applicable design credits.
- Complete the required processes and procedures necessary to achieve certification including HVAC product data submittals; operation and maintenance manuals; testing, adjusting, and balancing reports; owner training; and IAQ management plan compliance.
